Description

We are looking for a Hardware Designer to join our team in the Montreal office.

This position is based in Saint-Laurent.

Tâches

Perform hardware design activities including electronic design, schematic capture, PCB layout, BOM creation, and PCB manufacturing package generation.

? Perform circuit level design and testing for both analog and digital circuitry (filter design, signal conditioning, optical/capacitive isolation, SMPS, current sensing, communication interfaces, microcontrollers, etc.)
? Experience with different communication protocols and physical layers (SPI, I2C, UART, etc.)
? Design test stations for product debug and verification
? Select components (chips, passive & active components, power components, etc.)
? Plan and perform board bring-up and testing for PCBA
? Prepare PCBA manufacturing package and support manufacturer
? Maintain documentation and prepare test plans
? Support the software development team on the hardware related tasks
? Conduct and document investigations of hardware anomalies and failures
? Stay up to date with the most recent technological advancement in electronic to apply to future product developments
? Document the design, functionality and tests related to product development
? Adhere to health and safety rules (personal and equipment)
? Ensure to meet scheduled deadlines and report risks, problems and delays to the supervisor
